This is lovely vintage slide top box with dovetailed corners and a reddish stain

His or her parka and boots

There is some wear to the lacquer around the rims on the top and bottom of the box

These were traditionally used in the Chancay culture

I have found no other like it

I am certainly very glad they made the effort, and love the pairing of the blue and white with the dark wood. The lid itself, 19th century Chinese export porcelain I believe, features a pagoda in landscape and is very finely done; I especially love the border
