Lovely Antique French Gatteaux Playing Cards, Complete Deck, 1890 Stamp painted wood puppets This is a stunning vintageAnother beautiful deck of antique playing cards with stenciled coloration, no indices, and barely rounded corners. These are French (and came straight from a seller in France) with the Jack of Clubs featuring the Gatteaux mark on shield, the Ace of Clubs featuring a 1890 tax stamp, and pips showing pretty paper watermarks. Really lovely, and in great shape, with a blue and white tight honeycomb pattern on the backs. Cards measure 3 5 16" x 2 1 8". 52
