There is some old cloth tape stuck to the underside of the lid I have not tried to remove

And then there is the red hand-stitched string holding it together

It measures approximately 11" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 4" deep

The cages are nicely done, each with six facets (hexagons I guess that makes them) and four "bars" that interlock. And then three links on either side.
