from which it could be removed but which I think suits it pretty nicely

The toad measures 2 1/2" long x 1 7/8" wide x 1 1/4" tall and is in very good vintage condition

Chunky, Slightly Wonky Vintage Carved Whimsy vintage hand puppet I've really fallen in loveThis one I found in a shop in Nashville sitting next to a folk art cribbage board I also purchased (and since sold) and I might guess they were made by the same person though I am not certain. So many different reasons to like whimsies and so many different sorts of whimsies to like. this large and chunky one is a far cry from expertly done, but I like it for that, including for leaning a bit like the tower of Pisa from one side. One has the sense its
