By contrast
Tasted at the domaine in April 2022
1° with an acidity of seven grams per liter
It shows thick texture and richness with some pretty floral and raspberry notes and cherry sweetness on the close
well-balanced and stony finish
Jean-Marc Pavelot, Corton Charlemagne Blanc other_regions By contrastModerate wood influence is present on the very fresh aromas of Granny Smith apples, citrus confit, white flower and an interesting hint of marmalade. There is even better volume as well as more evident minerality on the lingering and more complex finale where a touch of sweetness emerges that, for me at least, detracts from the overall appeal. To be sure, this is perfectly good, but it would be fair to observe that its not a classic rendition.
