I think these French wicker covered flasks are so lovely

which makes me think the carver him or herself might have been a bit bashful about carving a nude

a couple of ink smudges on the front and a small bump to the lower right corner

I know it is hard to feel scale in photos

I'd just be a little gentle with it as the paint will still flake a bit

What I know is that he was from New Jersey (b. 1929) but spent a good part of the 1950s in Mexico, after which he briefly attended Cooper Union. He was gay, and estranged from his family, and, it seems increasingly mentally ill, with not much record of him after the 1950s. I think his drawings are
