Curious Cast Lead Knight (or Peter Pan?) Meerschaum Late 19th or 20th centuryI have no idea the origins of their strange fellow, who immediately made me think of Peter Pan, though I'd guess he was meant to be a knight. He's made of lead and has one hole in his back which I'd guess screwed to something, perhaps making him a bookend or a doorstop? I especially like him in silhouette, looking reverent and surreal and a bit Sphinx like to me, and he would certainly make a good bookend or doorstop just as he is. 8 1 8" t x 3 5 8" w
