juicy tannins
This displays enough Nuits character to remain true to the terroir yet there is virtually no rusticity
The Sandrone family employed 38 people for farming
There is muscle here but essentially this is a Charmes of refinement though the hugely long finish is explosive
The very rich and generously proportioned medium weight flavors possess a succulent mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the textured and lingering finish where the supporting tannins are a bit raspy
Meyney Vintage:2016 juicy tanninsThe 2010 Meyney is a superb follow up to the 2009, perhaps displaying more definition to the dusky black fruit, sous bois, graphite and pressed rose petal scents that burst from the glass. The palate is medium bodied with fine grained tannins, a clean line of acidity and more precision on the finish compared to the previous vintage. Excellent. Tasted at a vertical at Chteau Meyney.
