1912 Albastine Color Chart with Eight Pages of Samples double gem tintype frame a lovely setThis is a neat one, both for the terrific array of colors and for the nature of Alabastine paint itself, a powdered tint that was mixed with water for use on interior surfaces. And, as one can tell from the samples in this booklet, some of which have bled a bit, this could be used as a sort of watercolor palette if desired wet the colors with a brush and you could do a little painting. Founded in New York by Melvin B. Church in 1879, Alabastine was
