The puzzles are made of a nice weight tan chipboard with a bit of a sheen and black printed details

And I can make out that the diorama captured by the photographer was the creation of the child, showing the Meccano Destroyer off to "pick the huns" with huns, I believe, slang for Germans. Of course me its all about the diorama, with wonderfully folky
