Definitely worthy of  framing and hanging

with a really lovely solid yellow back to boot

often decorated with geometric motifs as was this one

and I  really like this line-drawn bird--just barely incised--that hovers mid-way between appearing and disappearing amid the reactive brown and white glaze

So good, and so soulful looking, and equally great on the reverse side, just enough different to make it tough to decide which side is better. Terrific old painted surface, with some alligatoring here and there, and with a steel post attached to one front leg should one want to stand him outside the front door for a bit to keep an eye on things! To my eye, just perfect. Dog himself measures 11" l x 13 1 2" tall measured straight down
