Growing up in California during the 90s, CJ was exposed to a liberated longboard culture where 2 plus 1s were everywhere. During his early years, CJ was taught on single fins so his transition to a 3 fin longboard was difficult. Most fin setups were too big and cumbersome for the enjoyable flow he was used too. It wasnt until he sanded down his overgrown side fins that he found his
