and an especially nicely done front

8 7/8" t x 5 1/4" w (I seem to have forgotten to measure the depth but would say 3" or so

leaving that open curve

I believe these are strands of algae, and that the photograph, signed on reverse, dates to the 1940s or so. 4 7 8" x 4 7 8". Silver gelatin print, matte paper, nice rich tonality, very good condition.
