I am guessing it is stuffed with sawdust

it’s just the time of year to put this one to use serving a holiday meal

though I don't think a bad idea to pretend one is 35 until one reaches 60

as does this one to me

with a great deal of effort invested in decorative carving on the long sides--cross hatching on one and a more complex pattern of chip carving on the other

SOLD Wonderful Old Carved Black Dog with Great Face unique kilim I am guessing it isAs sweet an old carved dog as I think I've had, nose to tail, and I'm a bit loathe to part with this one. The eyes seem to me to be inlaid nails though it's a bit hard to tell; definitely they're just right for this very empathetic (and very truly dog like) face, whatever the case. Wonderfully carved long ears and stub tail, all stained black but for the pink nose. Really a charmer, I'd guess 1920s 30s or so. 5 1 2" l x 3 11 16" t x 1 3 8" w. Very
