and handily the silver-plated bottom half slides off easily should one wish to share

Striking Signed Inuit Black Stone Duck trompe l'oeil Some wear to the boxI find the form of this one so beautiful, with the neck and body forming a nearly perfect 90 degree angle, like a perfectly bent elbow, and then almost an exact 45 degree angle could be drawn from beak to tail. I have often said my favorite Inuit pieces hold multiple states or opposing gestures in harmonic balance, which I think this carving does in the most succinct way possible, body pointing straight ahead, head turned straight back.
