Obelisk at Monken Hadley, Hertfordshire brook barges and ships on theObelisk at Monken Hadley, Hertfordshire, c1800. The obelisk commemorates the Battle of Barnet, 1471, between Edward IV and the Earl of Warwick during the Wars of the Roses. Monken Hadley is now in the London borough of Barnet.
