An Iron Grade award, constructed of blackened zink, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune, overlaid by a central mobile swastika, set within a circular ring bearing an inscription of FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H. J. (FOR MERIT IN THE H. J.), the reverse with a vertical pinback, stamped with an issue number of 132525, also marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code
