Marqus de Riscal, founded in 1858 in Elciego, is one of Rioja's most storied names. "Tapias" comes from Finca Las Tapias, one of the estate's finest plots (planted 1968) on ferrous, calcareous clay. It's a Bordeaux influenced red that evokes the wines Riscal made in its earliest days so distinctive it's distributed through La Place de
