An attractively fresh nose is comprised of extract of plum and dark pinot fruit that is liberally laced with floral and spice nuances that are trimmed in subtle oak hints

Mongeard Mugneret, Clos Vougeot Vintage:2017 yet still a little rough(from a . 63 ha parcel). The wood treatment isnt shy though neither is it dominant on the very ripe yet fresh nose that exhibits notes of dark raspberry, pomegranate, warm earth and the sauvage. However it is noticeable on the dense, rich and velvet textured broad shouldered flavors that deliver fine length on the powerful if slightly less complex finale. This is a bit woody though the underlying material appears to be present to absorb it in time.
