The Irish Treason Shop 1st Baron Hampton View of West Smithfield'The Irish Treason Shop', 1869. The Fenian movement was still causing the British Government problems. The movement had not been pacified by the measures introduced through the recent Irish Bill, and continued to agitate in the most threatening manner for the separation of Ireland from Britain and its authority.
