Carved Alabaster Trinket Box with Hand, Presumed Victorian wabi-sabi (Six issues of the bi-monthlyI've certainly come to love carefully mended things as much if not more than ones perfectly in tact, which is definitely the case with the broken and re glued piece of thumb on the carved hand on the top of this trinket box, alabaster I believe, which looks rather as if wrapped in a clear band aid! Mends such as this clearly attest to the care of its owner, and in this case I rather like it as a complement to the twisted bracelet around the wrist. I
