Delosperma sutherlandii Succulents The spines are on theDelosperma sutherlandii is a slow growing, 3" tall x 10" wide, compact ice plant that hails from South Africa (KwaZulu Natal to Gauteng). Delosperma sutherlandii has large purple flowers with white eyeballs, and yellow pupils. For us, it flowers from late spring into mid summer. While all delospermas are susceptible to overwatering, Delosperma sutherlandii is particularly susceptible, so in regions with regular rainfalls, we recommend planting this in
