A finely cast brass figure of Lord Ganesha with a crown of snakes and four arms, the head of Ganesha having a hinged lid to fill with oil, to the front is a reservoir to receive a wick which is guarded by two rats (a symbol of good fortune in Hindu culture). To the rear is a carrying handle, the base having pierced and reticulated
