The first two have been chased in the States for decades. The third stayed a secret among German wine obsessives, which is the only reason a bottle this good is still findable. The Niederberg is slate and quartzite, classified Erste Lage, and Emrich Schonleber ferments it dry with native yeasts in stainless steel. The family has been in Monzingen for over 250 years,
