Asarum nobilissimum King Kong Baptisia but rarely seenWe are thrilled to once again share our 2015 introduction of what we think is the first named selection of the little known giant Chinese wild ginger, Asarum nobilissimum. Asarum nobilissimum 'King Kong' boasts 8" long x 5" wide, glossy, black green leaves that radiate out on 8" long stems and slowly spreads to 3' wide in 6 years. In mid April (NC), the patches are adorned with insanely huge 4" wide flowers of soft yellow with muted purple flecking.
